Terminal Building Opening

The terminal building at Central Illinois Regional Airport (CIRA) opens two hours before the first scheduled flight of the day.

TSA security hours

The TSA security checkpoint opens approximately 90 minutes before the first scheduled departure to allow passengers time to move through security screening before their flight.

Airline ticket counter hours

Airline ticket counter hours vary by carrier and by the day’s flight schedule. Passengers are encouraged to review their airline’s page for the most up-to-date information.

Current airline ticket counter guidelines include:

  • American Airlines: The ticket counter typically opens two hours before scheduled departure and closes according to the airline’s daily schedule.
  • Delta Air Lines: The ticket counter generally opens two hours prior to departure and remains open for a period following the scheduled departure time.
  • Allegiant Air: The ticket counter opens two hours before scheduled departure. Please note that check-in closes 45 minutes prior to departure.

Additional airline service may have different operating hours. For example, United Airlines is scheduled to begin service to O’Hare International Airport (ORD) from CIRA, and ticket counter hours will be updated once flight schedules are finalized.

Please note: Terminal, security, and ticket counter hours may vary based on the daily flight schedule. Passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for the most current information before arriving at the airport.
