Whether you are a frequent flyer or a first-time visitor to BMI, we want your journey to be seamless. Find answers below regarding flight schedules, parking, security procedures, and the amenities available to make your time in our terminal comfortable.
Flights & Airlines
Central Illinois Regional Airport is served by Allegiant, American, Delta and United.
Nonstop destinations include:
- Atlanta (ATL)
- Chicago–O’Hare (ORD)
- Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW)
- Orlando/Sanford (SFB)
- Tampa/St. Pete (PIE)
American, Delta, and United also offer one-stop connections to hundreds of destinations through their hub airports.

You can book directly with the airline, through online booking sites (Google Flights, Expedia, Kayak, etc.), a travel agent, or at the airline ticket counter (hours vary).
If you booked through a third-party site, contact them to confirm your reservation. If you booked directly with the airline, contact the airline for confirmation.
Arrival, Check-In & Security
Most airlines recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before departure (2 hours for Allegiant).
- Boarding typically begins 30 minutes before departure (Always confirm boarding time with your airline.)
- Check-in and baggage cut-off times vary by airline
- TSA Security Checkpoint opens at 4:00 a.m.
- Terminal opens at 3:30 a.m.
- TSA opens at 4:00 a.m.
- Ticket counter hours vary by airline and close 45 minutes before departure
Airlines provide flight alerts for delays and cancellations. Make sure your contact information is included in your reservation.

CIRA offers a TSA PreCheck lane for most flights. Availability varies by day and airline.

TSA PreCheck enrollment events are offered several times per year.
Parking & Ground Transportation
Parking at CIRA is free, regardless of trip length. Short-term and long-term parking are located directly in front of the terminal.
Yes. A complimentary shuttle runs between the long-term lot and terminal and includes a wheelchair lift. Passengers needing wheelchair assistance should arrange services through their airline prior to arrival. Wheelchairs are also available inside the terminal.

- Free Wi-Fi (no password required)
- Mother’s Lounge (near Gate 5)
- Power outlets at gates
- Dining and bar options pre- and post-security
- Pet relief area
- Public Lounge (pre-security)
- Gift Shop (post-security, boarding pass required)
Smoking is permitted outside the terminal at least 15 feet from entrances. Currency exchange services are not available at this time.

Dining + Shopping
Yes – Jetstream Restaurant and Radar Bar, at the top of the escalators
Typically open daily from 4:30 a.m. through the last departure of the day.
9AM-4PM Sunday through Friday (closed Saturdays)
Yes, alcohol is served 6AM-2PM
